This body of work deals with duality and inevitability. For example, the images are both beautiful and repulsive. Some hint at prior violence, but the present is calm. The life and death duality evokes strong feeling; but because these images are of animals, they may be more palatable than if they were humans. This is one way we defend ourselves from the thoughts of the inevitability of our own demise. We are actually at one with all of living things as the life cycle turns in its own time.
This is an ongoing collection of Chromogenic images begun in 1995.
