This is an ongoing body of work that is an act of “collecting”. It deals with duality and inevitability. For example, the images are both beautiful and repulsive. Some hint at prior violence, but the present is peaceful. They capture impersonal scenes but they are also intimate.They evoke strong feeling; but because these are images of animals, they may be more palatable than if they were about humans. This is one way we defend ouselves from the thoughts of the inevitability of our own demise. We are actually at one with all living things as the life cycle turns in its own time. The collecting started in 1995.
